Tom Holland is one of the most popular actors in the world today, and for good reason. He’s talented, charming, and has a knack for playing lovable characters. But there’s one thing that Holland is also known for giving away spoilers.
Holland has a reputation for accidentally revealing plot points from his movies, both before and after they’re released. He’s been so bad at keeping secrets. But there was another actor who was a bigger spoiler. Michael Keaton- gave a spoiler on the night before the theatrical release of Batman.
Michael Keaton Spoiled Tim Burton’s Batman On the Night Before its Theatrical Release
Michael Keaton accidentally spoiled Batman (1989) on a talk show appearance the night before its theatrical release. The actor, who played Bruce Wayne in the Tim Burton film accidentally, spoiled the big Joker twist in an interview with David Letterman.
Letterman asked Keaton what the Joker – played by Jack Nicholson – had done to anger his character in the film to which Keaton revealed a little too much.
“Bruce Wayne witnesses the murder of his parents when he’s a kid,” he tells the host, who asks if the Joker was responsible for this.
“Yeah, but he doesn’t know it ‘till later – I’ve kind of blown the plot here,” he then said.
The movie opened with $40.4 million domestically and went on to earn over $411.5 million globally
Tom Holland is known for Slip-Ups
Tom Holland is known for being one of the worst at keeping secrets, especially when it comes to spoilers for his movies.
In 2017, Holland accidentally revealed that Spider-Man would die in Avengers: Infinity War. In 2019, Holland also spoiled the Infinity War poster on his Instagram Live. In 2019, Holland also spoiled the fact that Spider-Man: Far From Home would feature a major twist ending.
Despite his reputation for spoiling, Holland remains a popular and beloved actor. Many fans find his enthusiasm and candor to be endearing. And, to be fair, he’s not the only actor to have spoiled a movie plot point or two.
