Throughout his acting career, the late actor took on multiple big roles as well as small ones. But even in his small roles or supporting roles, he always managed to bring life to the characters he played. Once, Lerner shared his experience working on a film named Amos and Andrew, released in the year 1993. But he didn’t really like the experience and was highly disappointed with that film.

“It was a miserable experience [Laughs.] Well, I liked working in Wilmington North Carolina. But I was very disappointed in the movie. I thought it could have been much better. I think a lot of it is really obvious, and I mean I had fun. And I mean Sam [Jackson] and Nicolas [Cage] are terrific. I liked the fact that I played, like, not really a Jew, you know? More of a suburban guy. “

Michael Lerner played the role of Phil Gillman alongside Nicolas Cage’s Amos Odell and Samuel L Jackson’s Andrew Sterling. The film got an IMDB rating of 5.7 and got a poor rotten tomatoes rating of 17%. It also didn’t do well at the box office globally as it just scored $9M+.
