Did Izzo Truly Cut Keanu Reeves’ Character’s Hair in the Film?

One of the objectionable actions taken by Genesis in the movie involves her cutting the hair of Keanu Reeves’ character.

When asked about the scene in an interview, Izzo Says,

“I really cut Keanu Reeves’ hair! I told my mom, I called her and said, “Mom, I’m really nervous.” And she goes, “OK, but it’s a wig..,” and I told her, “No, I’m cutting Keanu Reeves’ hair! Mom, it’s Neo, what do I do?”

Fortunately, Keanu Reeves proved to be incredibly kind. While making the scene Izzo approached him and asked, “I’m gonna have real scissors. How do you feel about this?”  He was like, “Yeah, yeah, just cut it, man.”

She further stated that Ana de Armas was seated on top of him while Izzo proceeded to trim his hair. Throughout the process, her mind was consumed with the realization that she was actually cutting Keanu Reeves’ hair. She found herself lost in her thoughts, thinking, “This is really happening.”
