After Hints Of Uncertainty, Morena Baccarin Is Officially Returning In Deadpool 3

The confirmation came not long after fans doubted Morena Baccarin’s return as Vanessa. The actress, however, teased fans earlier about her discussion with the studio (via Inside of You podcast):

I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I’d like to be in it. They have called me about being in it. Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody’s trying their best, and doing their best.”

But, worry no more because she is officially in! The confirmation must have provided some relief for fans. With most of the original cast reprising their roles for Deadpool 3, the audiences are more thrilled to witness the much-awaited tandem of Deadpool and Wolverine.

Hugh Jackman will return as Logan after retiring from the role in 2017. His comeback came as a surprise, although many fans have been wishing for years to see the duo create chaos on the big screen.

Filming will reportedly commence in May, and while the plot is kept under wraps, the movie will remain R-rated. Shawn Levy, who worked with Reynolds on The Adam Project, will helm the third installment. Original scriptwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will continue the Deadpool saga, which will launch MCU’s Phase 6.

Baccarin’s Character Might Have Less Involvement In Deadpool 3

Because of the recent modifications in Marvel Studios, Baccarin revealed that there might be some changes in Vanessa’s involvement in Deadpool 3. She presumed that Disney’s acquisition of the Deadpool franchise might have affected the original plan.

The actress also noted that since the threequel will heavily focus on Deadpool and Wolverine, there will be less time for Vanessa. In the same interview, she added:

I do think that this movie, since the acquirement of the Deadpool Universe by Marvel, Disney, all that merger that happened, I do feel like they’re trying to reinvent it a little bit. I think this movie is going to be much more about Wolverine and Deadpool… He was gonna be a huge part of it, and I’m sure that it will be great.”

Because of the involvement of several X-Men characters, fans are expecting that Deadpool 3 will feature the multiverse. How they will traverse such a daunting course remains to be seen. However, Deadpool 2 dealt with time travel, and it could be used again as a plot device to make the plan work.

Furthermore, The Crown star Emma Corrin will also join the Deadpool cast, as well as Succession actor Matthew Macfadyen. There will be more things to anticipate from the upcoming Reynolds-Jackman tandem, so stay tuned for future updates.
