Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled for release on October 25, 2024. Some people have had the chance to try the game before hand and draw certain conclusions.
There is a stirring rumour in the air that controllers are slowly finding their way towards dominance with FPS titles, leaving keyboard and mouse behind, which have been prevalent for a long time now.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Best Played With A Controller
We are in the times where things change at drastic speeds, leaving little space to wrap your head around things. Many trends are changing in the gaming industry currently, and Black Ops 6 seems to have been contributing to one of the biggest cultural shifts in gaming.
PC peripherals have been the prevalent and predominant choice of equipment while playing any FPS game, especially multiplayer modes and titles.
However, that seems to be changing in the current scenario, with Black Ops 6 turning out to be a more controller-friendly game as opposed to surrendering to the norm of being a keyboard- and mouse-heavy game.
TimTheTanman, an American Youtuber, recently gave one of the biggest cultural shocks to a lot of players who find satisfaction in a more traditional form of gaming, especially with games like Call of Duty.
He recently gave a statement that concludes in him believing that Black Ops 6 might be a more controller-dominant game and his preferred choice of peripheral as opposed to keyboard and mouse.

This does come as a shock, as it was not something that players were expecting to hear, especially PC players who always felt that controllers can just not reach the level of finesse that a mouse and keyboard offer.
Black Ops 6 Has Brisk Movement Mechanics
The main reason why it is being claimed that Black Ops 6 will predominantly be a controller-heavy game is largely due to the movement mechanics incorporated in its gameplay.
The movement in the game is brisk and offers a high-paced experience, which is best suited for a controller as a keyboard does not allow you to move in the same manner as a joystick would.
A Call of Duty showcase event was held recently where a lot of stuff about the game was revealed to the audience to increase the hype of the game even further.
However, these are mere speculations, and it is not certain that the game will be absolutely unplayable or not fun to play with PC peripherals. It is a matter of what equipment will give more control over the surroundings, and that can only be decided once the game is fully released and many players from all over the world try their hands on it.
