“Somebody comes up behind me and starts doing the Ezekiel speech [from Pulp Fiction]. People do that to me all the time. ‘Arrgh, Ezekiel, da da  da.’ And I turn around, and it’s Marlon Brando. I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ We end up having this conversation.”

And Jackson, much like anybody else, was awestruck to have Brando recite his famous speech. The two later ended up talking and even exchanged numbers. But their interaction didn’t end there, for Brando ended up pranking Jackson before he could realize what was going on.

Samuel L. Jackson is not the person one would want to deceive or prank, but if it is somebody like Marlon Brando on the other end of the line, then even Jackson enjoys a good laugh. “He gave me his phone number and I gave him mine. From time to time I’d get a message saying Mr Brando wants you to call him, and every time I called it would say it was a Chinese restaurant.”

At first, Jackson thought he was just being pranked by the Hollywood veteran, but upon asking for Mr. Brando, the Godfather star would come up and the two would end up chatting for hours. It wasn’t until later that Jackson realized that it was just Brando’s brilliant way of filtering calls.

Pulp Fiction can be rented on Amazon Video.
