Jimmy Kimmel’s comedic foil Guillermo Rodriguez addresses Charlize Theron as his ‘wife’
Comedian-host Jimmy Kimmel took the opportunity to praise actor Coleman Domingo, who was nominated for Best Actor for his work in Netflix’s Rustin. However, his comedic foil Guillermo Rodriguez, who, just like every year, was on a quest to get the stars drunk, interrupted him.
Guillermo handed Domingo a margarita and decided to toast with the audience, giving a special shout-out to his ‘ beautiful wife’ actress Charlize Theron. Guillermo said when Jimmy Kimmel from center stage asked him about what he was doing, to which he said that Coleman Domingo needed a drink.
The Mexican talk show personality then went ahead to announce that he got tequila (Don Julio 1942) for everyone in the audience, adding that they should all do a toast and proceeded. He then raised a special toast for Charlize Theron as he said via ET,
“I love everyone here and I love you Jimmy and I love tequila and I love my beautiful wife Miss Charlize Theron. I love you. You’re my angel.”
While Guillermo Rodriguez raised a toast for the actress, the camera panned upon her with a surprised reaction leading to mouth,
“I didn’t know we were married.”
As reported by People, Charlize Theron looked stunning in her Christian Dior silk gown with Boucheron jewels, including rings, chokers, earrings, and bracelets. She completed her look with a slicked back and kept her glam to the minimal with rosy lips and cheeks.
Jimmy Kimmel openly flirts with Barbie actor Ryan Gosling
During his opening monologue, comedian-host Jimmy Kimmel took the opportunity to address the Barbie snub at the Oscars. He mentioned Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is a feminist icon, adding that he knows many people believed that she deserved to be nominated for Best Director. He paused and said,
“Hold on a second. I know you’re clapping, but you’re the ones who didn’t vote for her, by the way. Don’t act like you had nothing to do with this.”
He then later proceeded to compliment Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling by stating
“I want you to know that if neither of you win an Oscar tonight, both of you have won something much more important—the genetic lottery.”
Kimmel then stared at Ryan Gosling for a minute and said to him that he was so hot, adding that he could just eat him up, giving the audience a moment to laugh and remember how good-looking Gosling is. Kimmel lastly asked The Place Beyond the Pines actor if they could go camping together without telling their wives, leaving the actor with a laugh.
