Elle King Shares Real Relationship With Father Rob Schneider
Elle King makes a heartfelt confession on the Dumb Blonde podcast and reveals she hasn’t spoken to her father, Rob Schneider, for quite some time. “I go for, like, four or five years without talking to my dad,” she said.
The musician recalled how she was “lost in the shuffle” during the summers of her childhood spent on movie sets. She also lamented how her dad “forgot about every single birthday.”
I spent my 18th birthday in a summer school, and they brought me cupcakes, and I came home, and my dad forgot my birthday.
Guesting over Off the Vine podcast with Kaitlyn Bristowe, King echoed her sentiment: “We really weren’t even speaking.” She admitted being a lot closer to her mother hence why she went with her mom’s last name.
Because of her complicated situation, she never really “got scooted into the ‘nepo baby’ thing” which is a term used by the public to address the privileges of artists born into celebrity parents.
Schneider is widely known as an actor and comedian whose works include 1999’s Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, 2002’s The Hot Chick, and 2006’s The Benchwarmers. He was also a cast member and writer for Saturday Night Live, which earned him three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
In 1988, he married former model and actress London King, the mother of Elle. They divorced in 1990. His second wife was Helena Schneider whom he tied the knot with in 2002, but separated in 2005. The actor is currently married to Mexican producer and actress Patricia Azarcoya Arce.

Schneider isn’t the only famous star with a problematic relationship with his child. A source told In Touch Weekly that Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise has resolved to cut off Suri for good.
It was entirely Tom’s decision not to see Suri. Tom has proven over and over again that his No. 1 loyalty is to [his religion] and David Miscavige [the Church of Scientology’s second and current leader.]
The outlet reiterated that “it became more and more obvious Tom had completely cut Suri out of his life.” This remains a rumor since the Top Gun star never commented on the issue, but the controversy has been a long-enduring story in Hollywood.
With Suri already 18 years of age, she has reportedly dropped her famous last name and now uses Noelle, her mom’s middle name.
