I think I get choked up easier now. Ever since I have had kids, my job has become a lot easier, because I don’t have to try. I don’t have to reach for any emotions, whether it’s joy or whether it’s pain, because it’s all just nearby. Because the stakes are so much higher when you have kids.

The actor revealed that becoming a father has improved his capacity to have multiple emotions right below the surface, which means that at any given point in time, he did not have to reach for any emotion as much as he would normally.

The actor has been part of some of the biggest films in Hollywood, be it Goodwill Hunting with Robin Williams, Ridley Scott’s The Martian, or even franchise genre films like Ocean’s Eleven.
