And thus, to make sure that the old franchise goes out in a blaze of glory, the studio jam-packed everything that they had to offer. But along with all the obvious appearances that people had an idea from the trailers about, there may have been some that went under the radar for most, including another speedster from the CW side of things.

The world of superheroes is vast, and oftentimes, a confusing one, especially when there are multiple versions of them existing at the same time. This situation occurred when fans saw Ezra Miller as Barry Allen in the DCEU alongside the rest of the Justice League, while Grant Gustin already existed as the red speedster on the small screen in CW’s The Flash series. But with the complete renovation of the franchise, both will be saying their farewells to their roles in the future.

But just as they’re making their potential last run on the big screen, Miller’s film has received everything that the studio had at its disposal, which included unforeseen yet exciting cameos of different iterations of DC superheroes over the years. Apart from the obvious ones, there are reports by eagle-eyed audience members that Teddy Sears’ Zoom also might’ve made a cameo appearance in the film. But according to the star himself, it wasn’t him. He said:

“People kept telling me that I was in the new Flash movie…, I mean, I’m sleep-deprived with a newborn at home, so my memory is a little foggy. But I’m pretty sure I would have remembered shooting a major DC Studios film. Sadly, I’m not in this,”

Therefore, with the confirmation by the star, it seems like the aforementioned instances were a case of mistaken identity.

With the promise made by James Gunn about the film being one of the best superhero films ever made, the future of Ezra Miller as the speedster hangs in the balance. Just like with the success of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, if this film is able to capture the hearts of the fans as well as make a substantial impact at the box office in the duration of its run, the studio might be enticed to give the film a sequel in the future.
