During a talk show appearance, Reynolds spoke about his work on the threequel. However, when asked about the possibility of a fourth movie, Reynolds was quick to dismiss it for the time being because of one understandable reason. Ryan Reynolds Provides a Disappointing Update on Deadpool 4

Actor Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise his role as Wade Wilson / Deadpool in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine, which marks the actor’s MCU debut. While promoting the movie, Reynolds appeared on an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

During his conversation with Fallon, Reynolds was asked about the possibilty of a fourth Deadpool film. In response, Reynolds had a disappinting but understnadble update for fans. He said:

Oh, God, no. My wife and children will divorce me.

Reynolds made the above statement explaining he does not want to immediately jump back to work on a fourth isntallment. Aside from playing the lead role, the Deadpool films also see Reynolds serve as a producer and writer. Moreover, Reynolds is already one of the busiest actors in Hollywood.

When combined with the responsibilties he shoulders in the franchise and his family duties, it is easy to understand why the actor does not wish to make a fourth Deadpool movie anytime soon. However, Renyolds might reprise his role for a crossover film in the future.

Ryan Reynolds Teases Why Fans Will Enjoy the Cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine

During the same talk-show apperance, Reynolds also teased fans regarding some of the cameos in the upcoming Deadpool threequel, which marks Hugh Jackman‘s return to the role of Wolverine.

However, Reynolds refrained from using the words “cameos” as he felt the guest apperances had more weight. He said:

I would say that they’re more surprises because they have beginnings, middles, and ends.

The actor stressed that the cameos were not added simply to shock the viewers and mattered to the overall story being told. From Reynolds’ words, it is safe to say that the cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine will be satisfying for fans.

In recent times, films such as The Flash, Thor: Love and Thunder, and The Marvels have greatly relied on cameos for nostalgic value and one-off gags. Hence, given Reynolds’ statement, it is safe to say that the cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine will be different and hold emotional weight.
