The series has held this title for almost 30 years, and these moments are often the topic of discussion within the One Piece fanbase because of the connection they developed with their audience.
Some of these moments have been so extraordinary that they have made fans cry tears of joy and tears of sadness. Recently, the official One Piece X account held a poll to find out which moments fans find the most epic in the entire 1100+ chapter series. While the list included a lot of epic scenes, the positions they were placed in were certainly shocking.
One of the shocking positions was Nami’s crying scene during the Arlong Park arc being placed over Zoro’s nothing happened moment during the Thriller Bark arc. Although these were debatable listings, the moment that held the first place was certainly a unanimous decision by the entire One Piece fandom.

The list shared by One Piece’s official X account featured a lot of emotionally devastating moments, ranging from Nico Robin’s “I want to live” cry to Ace’s last message to Luffy before his death.

These moments have had a huge impact on the narrative, and many anime fans betrayed their favorite series after watching these events unfold.
Among those moments, Zoro’s nothing happened scene where he stays standing even after taking in all the pain of his captain ranked at number 7. This scene was the highlight of the Thriller Bark arc, and it was the first time when fans realized Zoro’s loyalty towards Luffy and his dream of becoming Pirate King.
However, Nami’s cry for help to Luffy during the Arlong Park arc after being conned by Arlong overtook Zoro’s epic moment as it grabbed the podium. The scene was ranked third by the One Piece fans considering the emotional vulnerability and the impact of the scene on the series.
The Best One Piece Moment Voted By Fans
Although all of these scenes have held their importance to the narrative, the one that made every One Piece fan cry was the farewell of Going Merry, the first ship of the Straw Hat Pirates. Going Merry was a gift to the crew that helped them reach Grand Line, but it ultimately gave up during the Water 7 arc.
The ship had been through a lot of difficult moments along with the crew, and the love that it received created a life for the ship, and she became a member of the Straw Hat crew. Thus, when the time came to say adieu to Going Merry and its memories, not only the crew but every One Piece fan cried their hearts out.
Thus, the scene getting the top spot on the list of the top 10 best One Piece scenes is certainly deserving. It was a well-crafted narrative by Eiichiro Oda, and ever since then, no other epic One Piece moment has been able to overtake it.
