And if these kinds of adrenaline-pumping showdowns aren’t the most anime thing ever, then what is? You might even be tempted to give the game a shot after watching these.

Naraka: Bladepoint Player Has the Most Anime Moment Ever In-Game

User Voinian is going to be running on an adrenaline high for a while after the gameplay they just pulled off. Wielding a demonic blade as Yoto Hime, a collaboration guest character from NetEase’s Onmyoji Arena, the player pulls off a sick combination of moves, utterly mowing down the enemy Feria.

While the enemy attempts to launch off and gain some distance, Yoto Hime gives no room for breathing, following right behind and executing an awe-striking air combo and slamming her blade down on the enemy.

The doesn’t go on for much longer, as Yoto Hime swiftly secures a win. Even if you’re not a Bladepoint player and have no idea what’s going on, no doubt that display of skill and talent was impressive to witness.

One might say the level of hype, flair, and raw energy present in the clip reaches an anime level that rivals Sparking Zero. While Bandai Namco’s upcoming Budokai Tenkaichi revival has shown off some impressive combat clips, where does it stand in comparison to Bladepoint‘s moment of combat excellence?

That’s up to everyone else to decide, but no doubt Bladepoint is an often overlooked player vs. player title and deserves some of the spotlight too.

Bladepoint Might Look Cool, but There Are Problems in Paradise

Bots here, bots there, bots everywhere.
Bots here, bots there, bots everywhere.

Bladepoint is an underrated gem in the battle royale space, but it sadly is plagued with the same problems that many other player vs. player games experience—bots. Scoring kills in a game is always satisfying, but doing so against bots doesn’t give nearly the same satisfaction.

That’s just one of the many issues players are having with the game supposedly filled with bots. In a battle royale game, introducing bots greatly reduces the stakes of the match, and also ruins the fun of having an unexpected encounter with players on the battlefield.

While bots in other games are typically easy to dominate, one player’s experience with Bladepoint‘s bots was so difficult, it drove them to take a break from the game, fed up with the whole situation.

The game is currently sitting at 41,000 players, with a 257,000 peak for 24 hours. That’s a pretty sizeable player base, and it makes you wonder why bots were injected into the player’s match. Going back to the clip from earlier, however, is proof that there’s plenty of fun to be had with real players.
