Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman are good friends and have been for about fifteen years. After the latter’s under-the-radar divorce, an insider reports that he and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon are working together to help the actress build a social circle and restart her dating life along the way.

The insider told In Touch Weekly that Portman is not crying over her divorce and is in fact quite happy with how she handled the tough situation. The insider added that the actress has moved on.

Natalie isn’t crying in her soup over the situation with her divorce. Quite the contrary, Natalie is proud of how decisive she has been about splitting with Ben [Millepied] and protecting her kids from a drawn-out fight. She’s turning the page and not looking back.

They also stated that Portman had a “very small social circle” during her marriage and is now focusing on “rebuilding her social life from the ground up. That’s where somebody like Brad comes in.”

The insider stated that the two have been friends for fifteen years and even have a “vague plan” of starring in a big movie together, although, that has yet to come to fruition. Coming back to Pitt helping Portman, the insider stated,

Right now Natalie needs Brad as a friend more than a colleague. And of course that means Ines is along for the ride. She’s so laid back and basically up for anything. Brad is proud of his track record of setting people up, and thanks to his new sober, AA-oriented lifestyle, he has a lot of wildly successful friends who are in the exact same spot Natalie is: starting over and trying to build a new life.

Well, it looks like if Portman wants to go out there and meet people who know what it’s like to start over from scratch, Pitt is her guy!
