It seems that NetEase Games forgot to include a type of character that would fit well with the experience. Fans are requesting the inclusion of a speedster in the roster that would significantly alter the matches. However, many superhero games in the past have struggled to adapt this type of power.

PvP games as a service are becoming increasingly common within this free-to-play business model. NetEase took advantage of the stagnation of the leading title in this subgenre to present Marvel Rivals, a different option with a well-known universe that seems to have caught the attention of players.

This title is set to launch sometime this year, and there is already a community of players ready to try it out.

According to a new Reddit post, some players want to see a certain type of character in the hero selection. This user suggested that the game should add a speedster to the roster, even naming Quicksilver as a potential candidate.

I want a speedster in the game so bad…

They also mentioned that, so far, no game has been able to portray this power correctly. Unfortunately, this type of ability is not simple to replicate, especially in an online game where everyone sees the same thing.

The ability to run faster than everyone else is not easy to adapt to in an online game where everyone sees the same thing at the same time. The studio must implement a strategy that slows down all other players when this hero’s abilities activate.

That’s why it would be quite challenging for the developer to agree to add a character of this style. Most likely, the studio will add more heroes over time.

Many other users agreed with what this player said and started proposing ideas on how to adapt a character like this to the game. They even began brainstorming different abilities that could relate to the character’s incredible speed.

This type of idea and suggestion will start to emerge constantly once the game is available, as the entire community will want new characters to be added.

For now, the studio has not confirmed an official release date for the game. Players can pre-register on the game’s official website to receive notifications about when the next beta might be or even the release date.

Since the betas were well received, the company may launch the game before the end of the year. There are already numerous fans eager to continue playing.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
