Along with the many technical issues plaguing the game, some in-game mechanics are not working as intended. While they are meant to help get players closer to the action, they are triggering at inappropriate times and even leading to players suffering because of them.

A common issue with shooters based on open maps is that some players could be on the opposite end of a map. The First Descendant wants to make this easier by teleporting distant players to the nearest outpost so they can jump right back into the action, but the feature isn’t working as planned.

Reddit user Immediate-Evening-58 has posted to the game’s subreddit, imploring the studio to include a fix for this in The First Descendant patch they have planned for the future. They claim to have been teleported to the very task they were already working on, resulting in an unnecessary interruption.

While the developers have been praised for handling the discovery of some exploits in the game, the team is also being asked to find a fix for these issues quickly, as one response is happy that someone has finally spoken about this issue.

Another explains how this glitch negates the usage of Sharen’s cloaking ability, leading to players feeling they wasted deploying the skill.

Some players have called The First Descendant missions formulaic, and it’s worse when they can’t get through them without interruption. The team may have included this feature with good intentions, but it needs to be fixed soon if they don’t want to lose more players.

There are already a plethora of issues in the game that the developer needs to fix, and the list keeps growing larger every day. But there are some in-game specifics that fans want changed as well, such as improving the accessibility and quality of endgame blueprints.

Players have claimed these are not only difficult to obtain, but they often feel like they are not worth the effort.

The community also needs to come together to help with the success of a mission. The game is a squad shooter after all, and having players go rogue to play their way can get a bit annoying when objectives such as Occupation Zones are easier with the full team.

Recent patches have helped improve the overall stability of the game, which is a good sign for the studio. The developer does need to take player feedback into account to ensure the pain points are being dealt with not only effectively but also promptly.
