Presenting more than 50 indie titles from all the possible genres, the Guerrilla Collective was a total success. Nightdive Studios will develop a remaster of a classic FPS title that differs from The Thing. Killing Time Resurrected unveiled a revamped version of the 1995 horror title, featuring new gameplay elements.
The game will be available for all the current platforms. This game, one of the inspired products of the Doom era from the 1990s FPSs, has its own style and mix of very bizarre enemies and stories.
Nightdive Studios Announces Killing Time Resurrected
The recent Guerrilla Collective offered an incredible list of indie games that any fan of these low-budget games will likely appreciate, providing an option for every kind of player. There were literally sections for every genre in gaming, involving a vast number of titles to choose from. RPG, Roguelites, Strategy, and FPS had their opportunities to shine. One of these titles was a remaster of a famous first-person shooter from the 1990s.
Nightdive Studios, the company that brought you updated versions of games like Blade Runner, offered a glimpse of a new version of Killing Time.
This remaster showcases an unbelievable and amazing visual style without losing the essence of the original game. The title will now be enjoyed with very spectacular resolutions.
Not a Remake of The Thing, but Still Good Work
By using a technique similar to what Mortal Kombat has done in the first games of the franchise, this new remaster will use live-action characters as enemies with incredible high-definition visuals. One of the most astounding features of this game will be that the player can choose when to switch from the new graphics to the old ones by just pressing a simple button, like the remaster of the first Halo.
There is still no official release date for Killing Time Resurrected, but it will be coming soon. The game will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This title will have classic weapons like a shotgun flamethrower or even a crowbar, but it will also have special and unique weapons like an ancient Egyptian relic and a wider arsenal to discover.
This recent Guerrilla Collective marked the first official event of the Summer Game Fest season and beyond. During the upcoming weekend, you will have other presentations to look for, like the Xbox Summer Showcase on June 9. There are still many big titles and IPs to be revealed, and fans are excited to see these events.
