Anthony Mackie has been a part of many notable films in Hollywood including Pain & Gain and Million Dollar Baby. However, there is no denying that a majority of his fame comes from his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whether it is as Falcon or Captain America, Anthony Mackie holds a special place in the hearts of his fans.
Therefore, it goes without saying that when fans spot the actor out and about in the city, they wouldn’t want to miss the golden opportunity of interacting with him. Unfortunately, sometimes things don’t turn out how we expect them to. Is Anthony Mackie the Rudest Celebrity Alive?
While on Spring Break in New Orleans, Laci Kole came across Anthony Mackie at the same gas station as her. Naturally, she decided to walk up to the actor in order to tell him just how much she appreciated his work. Unfortunately, the interaction didn’t go down like she had imagined it would.
The fan posted an almost three-minute rant on TikTok recalling her encounter with Mackie. She started off the video by saying, “So, I just met Anthony Mackie and let me just say, rudest human being alive.” Talk about a grave allegation! Kole then hopped right into narrating the entire incident stating,
“I live in New Orleans, I’m here for Spring Break. Apparently, Anthony Mackie lives here too. I pulled up to a gas station. Here Anthony Mackie comes in this huge f—king truck, all blacked out, all f—king sleek, windows down. So, it’s like, also, if you don’t want people to come up to you and f—king say how much they appreciate your work, why the f—k are all your windows down and you’re blasting music smoking a f—king cigar?”
Clearly, Kole was not too pleased with how things went down at the gas station. She continued that when she gently walked up to Mackie and politely apologized for bothering him, the MCU actor’s reaction was far from what she had expected. Apparently, Mackie held his hand up to her, as if telling her to stop, and said, “No.”
“Tell me why Anthony Mackie did this. [Imitates Mackie holding up his hand] ‘No.’ ‘No.’ To my Face!”
Based on this interaction, Kole labeled the Falcon actor as the rudest celebrity/human alive.
“Even if he was like, ‘Oh hi like shush shush. I’m on the low right now but it’s so nice to meet you,’ that would have been amazing! But I get a hand to the face. Get f—king stranded looking stupid. Anthony Mackie. The rudest celebrity.”
Kole even went so far as to say that Mackie made celebrities look bad. Needless to say, this is one celebrity encounter she’ll never forget, and not for the right reasons!
Fans Defend Anthony Mackie’s Actions
After Kole’s video went viral, many fans actually came out in support of Mackie. According to the opinion of many, celebrities do not owe their time to anyone, anywhere. They even blamed Kole for bothering him and invading his personal time, no matter how polite she was about it.
