Charlize Theron is one of the outstanding actresses in the film industry who is known for her action-packed performances in films like Mad Max: Fury Road, the Fast and Furious franchise, and Atomic Blonde among several others. Not only in reel life but her bold charm continues to make fans fall for her even in her real life. However, her bold personality was something she developed over time after encountering a horrifying situation.
When she was a fresher in the acting industry, she had to go through an ordeal when she had to endure a male producer’s s-xual advancements. It was something she felt bad about for a long time until she finally had her revenge.
A Film Producer Behaved Inappropriately Toward Charlize Theron
Back in a 2019 episode of The Howard Stern Show, Charlize Theron shared about auditioning for the first time in Hollywood at a famous producer’s house. Recalling that she had never been to any audition before then, she shared,
“I had just turned 19, I might have still been 18. I had never been out for an audition.”
Her agent sent her off to that producer’s house at the time. He opened the door in his pajamas. Sharing about his personality, she stated,
“He had a very healthy ego, he felt very good about himself.”
The Fast X actress continued,
“There was some kind of muzak playing in the house. He sat very close to me. That was strange. The drinking bothered me. I was like, ‘This doesn’t feel right.’”
Charlize Theron Eventually Took Her Revenge!
The Old Guard actress continued to share that she eventually spoke to him after 8 years when she cemented herself at a great place in the industry. She confronted the “big deal” producer who had no recollection of their bizarre encounter.
“I went (to see him) purely just to have my moment, where he said: ‘Nice to meet you’ and I said: ‘No, we’ve met before.’ He had no recollection of it and his producing partner was standing right next to him.”
Despite being firm on pretending to have no memories of meeting her, she recalled that he was “embarrassed” which was enough for a reason that she had her revenge. While she didn’t expose his name, she remained steadfast in the statement that he was a big deal even when the interview premiered. She can be seen reprising her Cipher role in the Fast X film which is running in theatres now.
