Dune: Part Two is currently ruling the cinemas and is expected to win big at the next award season. Everyone from Timothée Chalamet to Josh Brolin to Rebecca Fergusson did extremely well in their roles and the audience just can’t seem to get over them. Undoubtedly, Dune: Part Two has not only lived up to its predecessor’s hype but has even surpassed it. However, the one thing we missed in the sequel was Oscar Isaac’s Duke Leto Atreides.

Oscar Isaac played the role of the father of Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides in Dune. Unfortunately, the film saw him meeting his demise and thus, the actor was not a part of Dune: Part Two. Having Oscar Isaac on the set of the first film must have been a hoot, though, as the actor knows how to have fun. Remember when he brutally roasted Josh Brolin during an interview?

During the Dune Trailer Debut Event Conversation on Twitter Movies, Oscar Isaac did not hesitate for a moment before roasting his co-star, Josh Brolin. Host Stephen Colbert asked Isaac a very honest question stating, “What’s it like to be there on these grand sets, sort of unprecedented in their scale?” And while Isaac could’ve given a normal answer to the very normal question, he decided to take a different route and take a hilarious jab at Brolin.

Comparing the size of Brolin’s head to the grand sets of Dune, Isaac stated,

“I’ll just say that no set piece, no X-wing, no Millennium Falcon could compare to the sheer scale of Josh Brolin’s head. It was massive, both literally and figuratively. It really made me feel like I was on an alien planet.”

Needless to say, Isaac’s quick-witted humor sent his colleagues into hysterics with Jason Momoa and director Denis Villeneuve having the biggest laughs out of everyone. As for Brolin, the man did not have a comeback for Isaac and he simply seemed done with his co-star’s shenanigans. He was probably planning how to turn into real-life Thanos and snap Isaac out of existence!

While Isaac and others may have found pleasure in occasionally poking fun at each other while filming Dune, you may rest assured knowing that everything is just in good fun. In fact, Chalamet, Brolin, and Isaac are even in a group chat together where they make fun of each other and themselves.

After looking at the cover, Isaac texted on the group chat, “We look like a REALLY sh-tty band,” to which Brolin chimed in, “We ARE a really sh-tty band.” Clearly, they know how to take a joke! On top of that Chalamet sharing the screenshot on his Instagram story proves that they are all just having fun.

You can stream Dune (2021) on Max and Dune: Part Two is currently playing in theatres.
