Henry Cavill has been down on his luck for a pretty long time ever since he was replaced in James Gunn’s DCU and Netflix’s The Witcher. Having tried his hand at several action movies alongside some spy thrillers, the actor is experienced in portraying a spy character.

Before the producers of the James Bond franchise decided to go silent on who could be the next James Bond, Henry Cavill had gathered plenty of support from his fans. The only thing interfering with Cavill is his age since the actor is 40 years old. Well, it seems that the actor is not in need of a James Bond role now.

Henry Cavill Can Turn His Franchises Upside-Down

After Cavill’s departure from The Witcher and DCUthe actor was left bereft of any major work until his dear friend Guy Ritchie picked him up again. The director-actor duo had previously worked in 2015 in the film The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Working alongside the director, the duo created the 2015 masterpiece and are also currently working on the 2024 film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and it seems to be going pretty great. It seems that the spy thriller 2015 movie was essentially the only thing that Cavill needed to gain support from fans. From his iconic role in the movie, fans realized that the actor has actually got the skills necessary to portray the role of James Bond.

Starring in the role of Napoleon Solo, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. starred Henry Cavill against Armie Hammer, and the movie was met with quite some positive reviews. Being a spy/thriller movie, Cavill’s character was heavily inspired by James Bond, and thus, the 2015 movie was enough for fans to see Cavill donning the tuxedo suit of James Bond in upcoming movies. Since the actor is a bit too old to portray the role now, The Witcher star seems to be going ahead with his own spy/thriller franchise with his longtime friend and notable director, Guy Ritchie.

The world suffered a grave injustice when The Man From U.N.C.L.E. wasn’t made into a franchise. A sequel was indeed in the works but was later canceled due to reasons unknown. Well, with Henry Cavill once again joining forces with Guy Ritchie, the director and actor are back with a new movie that may seem to take the edge off and could potentially turn into a franchise.

With the release of the upcoming 2024 movie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, it seems that Guy Ritchie and Henry Cavill may have found their perfect movie. Based on this movie, it seems that an ever-expanding franchise could be a very likely scenario. Alongside The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Cavill is also the lead role in a Matthew Vaughn movie titled Argylle. The movie will see the actor portraying the role of a super-spy traveling the world to solve a global conspiracy. With enough movies to his name, it wouldn’t be too long before Cavill’s movies are converted into a franchise or a cinematic universe.

The 2015 movie, starring Henry Cavill was met with average reviews but was quite a success. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
