The epic story of One Piece has an array of negative characters that are known to be the strongest villains in anime history. Characters like Imu Sama, Blackbeard, Kaido, Big Mom, and Enel are some of the strongest villains introduced in the story till now and all of them have kept the story interesting. They have proved to be a challenge for the Straw Hats and have made them stronger as they defeat them and move on to the next.
However, there is one set of villains that are recently introduced in the story that may change the entire perspective fans have on the strength of the villains. These characters don’t hold much personality to the story but they are by far some of the strongest villains the Straw Hats have ever faced. They are the Seraphim, the most recent models of Pacifista cyborgs created by the World Government’s top scientist, Dr. Vegapunk.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead
The Seraphim Pacifistas Created by Dr. Vegapunk in One Piece
The Seraphim are a subset of Pacifista units designed by the Marines’ Special Science Group to replace the Seven Warlords of the Sea as one of the Three Great Powers. They are living weapons created as clones of prior Warlords, blended with King’s Lunarian Lineage Factor, and supplemented with the Devil Fruit power-replicating Green Blood. Dr. Vegapunk, the Seraphim’s creator, feels that they are the strongest form of humanity in history.
The Seraphim, like the original Pacifista, carry out their missions in a calm, robotic manner. Seraphim are hardwired to only follow direct orders from the Five Elders, Vegapunk, and Sentomaru. When the Pacifista Seraphim models first appeared in One Piece Chapter 1059, they proved to be a lethal force. Just two of them were enough to destroy Amazon Lily. They were even able to give a tough competition to the Blackbeard Pirates.
The Seraphim Are The Strongest Villains Faced by Straw Hats
In Chapter 1065, a Seraphim modelled like Jinbe named S-Shark, joins in battle with a group of Straw Hats that comprises Sanji, Franky, Robin, Nami, and Usopp. S-Shark survives all of their strikes and emerges undamaged from the melee, revealing that the Seraphim are the most formidable villains in the series. Vega punk’s DNA alteration gave these new Pacifistas the abilities of Warlords, the strength of Lunarians, and the power of Devil Fruits, yet there are still many Mysteries surrounding the Seraphim.
According to Vegapunk, these Seraphim are still youngsters. Their development process has not been completed since Vegapunk is frightened about the side effects of artificial growth acceleration. There is a chance that Vegapunk could again control the Seraphims and make them alleys of the Straw Hats, but currently, they are a lethal force and Straw Hats had a hard time dealing with even one of them.
