Jonah Hill has worked with several actors in Hollywood, yet only Channing Tatum has been one true friend of the star. Of course, Leonardo DiCaprio’s name comes to mind when speaking of Hill’s friends, but as evident in their bromance, Hill and Tatum have formed an everlasting friendship in Hollywood.
Tatum, who was inches away from being a Marvel star to play the role of Gambit, has worked with Hill in several movies. Also, the duo has retained their friendship even off-screen for years.
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum Bromance
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have appeared in several movies together, including This Is The End, The Lego Movie franchise, 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, and Hail, Caesar. A long list of movies, indeed, at least, enough to strengthen their bond. Certainly, they both are in agreement that they were “lucky” to have worked together and retained the friendship for this long.
“It doesn’t always work out like this. Sometimes you take a movie because you like someone’s work, and then you get to work with them and you don’t actually enjoy working with them. And we just got really lucky,” Tatum told CNN.
The friendship between the stars continued from 21 Jump Street’s onscreen bromance to eventually become a part of their lives. The duo have appeared in several interviews and press tours having fun, teasing each other, and making an example of their sweet and happy friendship.
Channing Tatum Loves To Torture Jonah Hill, Physically
Tatum and Hill’s friendship is not limited to the jollification of their conversations. The duo also fights for fun. Appearing on Conan O’Brien’s show with Tatum, Hill revealed Tatum’s cruel assault as Tatum demonstrated the same on Hill, who was sitting next to him on the show.
“You’re witnessing it, and it sucks. It just is like first there’s, I guess there’s some area like above your knee yes, god damn it. I’m all flustered now. I, there’s like an area above your knee like before your thighs starts that just feels like a billion knives are crashing into you at the same time and whenever he’s bored he just squeezes this,” Hill said while Tatum was laughing.
Tatum humorously replied, “it’s actually a fake leg” when the same was attempted on him, and he was stoic as he felt nothing. Is there a way to stop that? “Oh no, he’s like way bigger and stronger than I am. It’s just like I beg him, you know? I’ve literally cried from this happening at times,” Hill added. The actor was also explicit about revealing that it was never fun for him, although his buddy enjoyed every bit of Hill’s pain.
