“He deserves his reputation as possibly the greatest actor of his generation. I’ve never seen an actor so completely consume himself in character – in true character work during the work.”

Robert De Niro played the role of Louis Gara in Tarantino’s crime thriller Jackie Brown. Tarantino praised him for his commitment to his craft and his ability to fully inhabit the characters he portrays. “When Robert is playing Louis… he is Louis,” he told Charlie Rose during the interview.

Talking about how the latter agreed to play the role of Louis Gara in the movie, Tarantino once shared that it was a small detail about what kind of shoes his character wore that convinced him for the movie.
