SUMMARY

Oscar Isaac has played three characters across the Marvel Multiverse: Moon Knight in the MCU proper, Apocalypse in Fox’s X-Men, and Miguel O’Hara in Sony’s Spider-Verse films. Come Secret Wars, it is expected that a slew of non-MCU Marvel characters will be making their way into the MCU to fight Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.

Given that Doctor Doom would have messed up multiple timelines and could have made enemies outside the Sacred Timeline, it is expected that even antagonists will join the fray to battle God Emperor Doom. Oscar Isaac might be there as Moon Knight, but there is one other character that could aid the heroes of the MCU to fight Doom, someone already confirmed to be part of the same multiverse depicted in the MCU: Miguel Ohara a.k.a Spier-Man 2099.

The leader of the inter-dimensional Spider-Society, Oscar Issac‘s Miguel O’Hara was the main antagonist force of the the sophomore Spider-Verse film, which saw Miles Morales enter the wider multiverse. O’Hara had access to tons of interdimensional technology that could be used by the Avengers when fighting Doctor Doom, who could be hopping timelines to evade and fight the Avengers.

O’Hara’s inclusion in the MCU would give the likes of Doctor Strange the ability to deal explain canon events in relation to Nexus and Anchor Beings in the MCU. While it is assumed that O’Hara was referring to the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home in Beyond the Spider-Verse, we did not see O’Hara interact with either. This could suggest that Secret Wars could take place before the events of Beyond the Spider-Verse, allowing O’Hara and the Spider-Society to aid Doctor Strange and Spider-Man in the fight against Doom .

What are the chances of Moon Knight appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars?

Of all the characters that have led their own series in the MCU, Moon Knight seems the least likely to have any connection with the Avengers anytime soon. While other shows have crossover with Avengers in one way or the other, Moon Knight has been largely self-contained, with minimal references to the wider MCU. Further, the character is actually three characters wrapped into one, which might be too much for any film’s bandwidth.

The only way Moon Knight could contribute to the Avengers is if the character crosses over with some Avenger before the Doomsday or Secret Wars, which would familiarise the character’s complex situation with other members of the team. This could happen in the upcoming Blade film, or even in Spider-Man 4. Daredevil: Born Again could contribute to Moon Knight becoming a staple among the street-level fighters.

There is also the fact that Jake Lockley is still hidden from Marc and Steven, which might be a plot point that might need resolving with a second season before Moon Knight could go anywhere. Further, the hero comes with Khonshu in tow, whose cosmology might confuse viewers when crossed with entities like Hercules and Thor.
