Jeremy Renner is back after about a year of stepping away from showbiz following his snowplow accident. The actor hinted that he’s coming back to the action. Renner shared a story on Instagram from Emma Laird featuring a photo of the duo.
Renner and Laird appeared in the Paramount Plus crime drama Mayor of Kingstown, and their recent teasing certainly made fans speculate that Renner is returning to the set of the show for season 3.
Jeremy Renner Teased His Return to Set
Emma Laird, who plays Iris in the Mayor of Kingstown, teased a photograph of her with Jeremy Renner captioning, “It’s happening. Back with my favorite guy next week.” Renner plays the title role of Mike McLusky, and he is all set to return to the show after his snowplow accident that, according to the 52-year-old, broke more than 30 bones.
“I just feel very blessed and very lucky to be upright and walk around and to live life. I’m very, very clear. My life is really lean, if that makes sense. There’s no fat in my life anymore. I don’t have time for that. So there’s something really beautiful about having that superpower,” Renner told CNN in an interview.
The actor had suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries as he attempted to divert his vehicle from his nephew in Nevada, which caused the accident. But while recovering, Renner said that he found the much-needed mobility. “Perseverance. Strength. It’s all a mental game. I put it in my back pocket now. I know how to deal with pain. It’s all mind. It’s all in the mind,” he added. Further, he revealed that he is blessed to live the renewal of life with all the new strength.

Of course, he is yet to return to the MCU to play his titular character, Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye, but his recovery is certainly cheerful for fans. Renner has an astounding global fanbase, and it’s no surprise that his back-to-set teasing has created a wave of fan reactions applauding the actor.

Renner’s return would not be limited to just the Mayor of Kingstown as there is a lot to catch up for the actor. He is also set to appear in the future Avengers movies. The MCU star, however, doesn’t take his absence as a setback, and he is ready with more strength in his mind and spirit.
