Alec Baldwin’s Brothers Were ‘Kitchen Slaves’ in his Poverty-Stricken Family
Actor Alec Baldwin grew up in a household where his parents were barely making ends meet and the responsibility of taking care of all his 5 siblings (Daniel, William, Stephen, Elizabeth, and Jane Ann) proved daunting for his father. While promoting his film The Boss Baby, he talked to The Guardian about these aspects of dealing with his parents and siblings saying,
“I am the oldest son, I have an older sister, and the two of us have a very different place in our family. My sister was the queen and I was the king and my brothers were just like vessels and kitchen slaves…For every child that was born after that, my father was like ‘Oh God What Have I Done!’, cause you know he didn’t have any money. He had 6 kids and no money.”
It seems the Baldwin family did everything they could to survive and suffered major financial setbacks early on. The oldest son continued working hard and made his name in Hollywood, making his parents and siblings proud and moving on from their early tragic past.
