And though a majority of his films have been successful, both critically and commercially, the star is not immune to some wrong steps that he took in his acting career. Popular and respected for his performances in some of the most iconic films in cinema history like Top Gun, the Mission: Impossible franchise, A Few Good Men, and many, many more, there is seldom any doubt in people’s minds about what a film would look like when Tom Cruise is part of the project. He, in his usual frank nature, said:

“A week in, you go, ‘Oh God, what have I done?’ The plane is buffeting, the engine is on fire.”

And while the film did secure decent reviews from the public and the critics, it most certainly bombed at the box office with a meager $38 Million domestic collection.

While many bygone era-depicting films take the utmost care and are highly detail-oriented in their nature, Rock Of Ages throws it out of the window for some really spoofy, comical, and raunchy visuals and musical scores that make the viewer really think about what he feels about the film. The story follows Sherrie and Drew, two individuals who try to navigate the world of music in order to make a name for themselves.
