Jennifer Lawrence said she was scared she would come off as a predator while filming the s*x scene with Pratt. Lawrence felt out of place despite Pratt’s reputation for amiability. She explained to Meyers that she and Pratt had not planned any moves ahead of time because doing so would have only made things more awkward for everyone involved. Jennifer Lawrence joked that she would apologize profusely if she did something wrong.

“I was so nervous,’cause I was, like, paranoid, about coming across as a predator, for one. … With s*x scenes, you don’t know what to do. You’re like, ‘Is it too — is it enough?’ Is it — or your worst nightmare, is it too much? Are they gonna be like, ‘Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!’ … You don’t know that to do! I’d be like, ‘Oh my God, I’m sorry!’ I just, I don’t know, acting?'”

“We’re actors and it’s a big a part of the job. Your job as a leading man is to make the actress feel comfortable, and you do that by minimizing the amount of people that are there and … having a sense of whether or not they’re feeling okay.”
