Ah, 43 years older! After probably waiting a few years, Jennifer Lawrence felt ready to confess her secret admiration for American comedian, writer, actor, and television producer, Larry David.
As Curb Your Enthusiasm’s viewers might know pretty well that when there are women and Larry David around, comedy always exists. This was especially true when David was once asked on Late Night with Seth Meyers whether Lawrence had a crush on him.
Quick recall: In 2014, The Hunger Games actress admitted her huge crush on the 75-year-old actor, writer, and comedian. Fans at the time secretly wanted Lawrence and David to be dating.
Yes, we do agree that there is a huge age gap and that it might appear a little strange visually. But it would be amazing. After all, both appear to have excellent Hollywood reputations and are genuinely funny.
No Hard Feelings actress is oddly funny, don’t you think? While David is considerably known for creating the greatest sitcom in the history of television, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Larry David Was Jennifer Lawrence’s Crush
Jennifer Lawrence, a Hollywood actress, is one of the most promising stars in the entertainment world. Not just because of her excellent acting abilities, but also because of the stories about her life outside of the camera. The actress, however, has never backed off from her emotional statements.
She once bravely admitted that she had a huge crush on veteran actor, Larry David.
In a 2014 interview with Vanity Fair, the actress confessed to having “below the belt” feelings for David, co-creator of Seinfeld and star of the television series, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
“I gave Larry David my number, but he never called me. But he also might have been married! I don’t know. Apparently I don’t ask about these things. I’m so not that girl… I would never go after another woman’s man. I always forget about Step 1: Find out if he already has a wife. I get so carried away and go into the delusion of like, ‘Oh, my god! We’re in love!’”
The 32-year-old actress further added:
“I’m in love with him, and I have been for a really long time. I worship Woody Allen, but I don’t feel it below the belt the way I do for Larry David.”
Larry David Addressed Jennifer Lawrence’s Crush on Him
Two years later, Larry David addressed this specific incident in a segment for Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The 75-year-old actor, writer, and comedian informed Meyers:
“She sat here and she said she had a crush on you and she also said she had a crush on me. When you heard that she had a crush on me as well, you seemed quite displeased that we were lumped together, as if that detracted from the ego trip that you were on.”
Actually, the Red Sparrow actress also admitted to having a crush on Meyers, which for David seemed to invalidate his crush.
“I’m not gonna lie, it would have been better if it was just me. When she said you, I too was disappointed.”
He continued while expressing his disappointment:
“To me, it takes away from the crush if she’s mentioning other people. How special is it then for me? It’s not that special. You got a crush on me? You got a crush on him? No good. I want the big crush.”
Oh well, it was a long time ago and now both prominent celebrities have moved on and found new love.
