Things have been all over the place ever since Elon Musk introduced Twitter Blue. Now it seems to have gotten even more chaotic. Just about a day prior celebrities had been asking left and right for the CEO to restore their blue ticks on the platform as they refuse to pay for the newly introduced feature. While various celebrities had been against the policy and were okay with not having a verification badge, many were not.

The world seems even more confused this morning, especially the celebrities. Various public figures woke up to find their blue ticks restored and many others were even more confused as they had not paid for or subscribed to Twitter Blue. Their discourse with the policy still stands. However, Musk does not seem very bothered by it as he stated that many accounts will be having their verified status given to them.

News surfaced that various celebrities had gotten emails about their Twitter accounts gaining subscriptions for Twitter Blue complimentary from Elon Musk himself. The CEO further confirmed that, stating that he does in fact personally pay for certain accounts including LeBron James, Stephen King, and other public figures as well. James has been a verbal detester of this policy and is against it majorly. So, it was obvious when he woke up to see a blue tick mark against his name, filling him with utmost displeasure.

On the other hand, Stephen King chose a different approach. While he confirmed that he never subscribed to Twitter Blue and did not even give his number, he pointed out that Musk was paying for it. This was not something the author liked either and suggested instead using that money on some charity that would actually benefit people. Many celebrities got emails regarding the same, however, when they tried to revert to that said email, Twitter simply responded with a poop emoji.

Celebrities Share Their Disapproval Of Getting Twitter Blue For Free

Many fans and celebrities have sided with Stephen King on his request to let the money that Musk is using for the multiple Twitter Blue subscriptions instead go into some charity. They are far from happy to see this step being taken as a good bunch of them was vocally against the idea of paying for the policy.

Almost every celebrity who noticed the change on their Twitter profiles spoke up against the matter. They stated as to how they never signed up for the subscription and nor did they want Elon Musk to pay for it simply because they refused to do so. Whether it is Musk’s personal initiative or a change in the policy is still unclear as the criteria for Twitter Blue still remain the same.

Celebrities like Charlie Sheen are more than happy to get their blue ticks back as only recently had they asked for them to be back. Authors, singers, actors, athletes, and everyone else who has experienced this mysterious upgrade to their account have publically admitted that they had nothing to do with it. Musk even went out of his way to confirm that it was his doing when Stephen King talked about the change.
