Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is a Hollywood legend. Throughout the 1980s and the 1990s, the actor gave Cinephiles back-to-back blockbuster hits showcasing his talent as an action star. During his Hollywood journey, Schwarzenegger met fellow actor Tom Arnold. While creating director James Cameron’s 1994 film True Lies, the two actors developed a lasting friendship.
Tom Arnold once appeared on the Brotherly Love Podcast and talked about his friendship with Schwarzenegger. It was then revealed that Schwarzenegger played p*rn on TV right before Tom Arnold’s wedding. One of the show’s hosts, Andy Lawrence, who also attended Tom Arnold’s wedding, also revealed that he used to smoke cigars with Schwarzenegger back in the day.

In June, actor Tom Arnold appeared on the Brotherly Love Podcast and talked about his Hollywood journey. At one point, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s name came up and one of the hosts, Andy Lawrence, recalled the time when Schwarzenegger played p*rn in the hotel room when Tom Arnold was getting ready for his wedding. Andy Lawrence said,
“I was a groomsman and we were in the hotel room when you were getting ready. I’m sitting there and, you know, its kinda like the guy’s moment in the hotel room for the wedding and Schwarzenegger comes in and he grabs the TV remote and he goes, ‘Okay guys, here comes the p*rn! and he turns on some soft core hotel p*rn and smoking Culebras and I’m like, ‘This is the coolest, like, what a cool moment.'”
Joey Lawrence, another host, also recalled the time when his brother, Andy Lawrence, used to smoke cigars hanging out with Tom Arnold and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold became friends on the sets of True Lies
When one thinks about it, the combination seems quite weird as Schwarzenegger was an action star while Arnold was well-known for his comedy movies, but this didn’t stop the two from forming a long-lasting bond. James Cameron’s True Lies managed to become a massive hit and Schwarzenegger and Arnold became an iconic duo in Hollywood.
While their friendship was unexpected, the two have set a prime example of how true companionships are. Despite their differing backgrounds and career trajectories, they have been maintaining that bond for over 25 years.
The two friends recently teamed up for Netflix’s FUBAR
After roughly three decades, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold once again teamed up to star in Netflix’s FUBAR. Tom Arnold also explained that he was excited to be a part of it,
“No matter what it was, I going to do it because I wanted to go up and see Arnold.”
In the show, Schwarzenegger played the lead role of Luke Brunner. This was the actor’s first ever leading role in a scripted live-action television series so Tom Arnold felt really special to be a part of it.
