Dragon Ball Daima, a brand-new Dragon Ball series, has been confirmed and will premiere in the fall of 2024. According to the footage, it’s being drawn by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and, while there have been numerous comparisons to GT, it’s a unique story never told in Dragon Ball. As revealed in the teaser, the anime series follows Goku and Vegeta, who have been transformed into children. To restore the damage, they will travel to a new realm populated with mysterious and deadly entities.
However, since the series’ introduction, there have been some concerns raised due to comparisons to two earlier Dragon Ball sequels/spinoffs, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super. However, Dragon Ball Daima has been prepared to ward off the majority of the criticism that was faced by GT and Super. Even further, the series has an advantage that would help it dethrone the current favorite Dragon Ball Super.

Dragon Ball Daima Set to Release in 2024
Dragon Ball Daima was unveiled on October 13, 2023, during the New York Comic-Con. Dragon Ball Daima is being released to mark the series’ 40th anniversary. Unlike the Dragon Ball Super series, the anime series will have its own storyline, according to the trailer. An unknown enemy will turn Goku and the rest of the main cast into children in the anime, which will be produced by Toei Animation. It is the fifth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise. Akira Toriyama will be involved directly in Dragon Ball Daima, not just with character design but also with the story and scenario.
Many fans believe that the upcoming series might be good, but it may not be able to compete with Dragon Ball Super as the series was highly appreciated by the fans and has many positive reviews from the critics. However, Dragon Ball Daima has one advantage that will help the series take over Dragon Ball Super. And that advantage is its ending.

Dragon Ball Daima’s Advantage over Dragon Ball Super
Although Dragon Ball Super had a better welcome because it is an actual successor to Z, there is still the question of how it will conclude. Dragon Ball Super is set in the ten years between Majin Buu’s defeat and the final chapter of Dragon Ball Z, although as the series proceeds, it appears that it is becoming more difficult to reconcile it with Z’s ending. As a result, Super has a major dilemma regarding the series’ conclusion. Dragon Ball Daima, on the other hand, is not in this category. The series will very certainly be a standalone story.
Daima will have its own story to tell and will end it on its terms, free of the necessity to provide a satisfying ending to the series. This makes the series unique and also gives it a big advantage over Dragon Ball Super and if everything falls right, the series could be even bigger than Dragon Ball Super.
