Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3 may be very different games from one another, but the fanbase’s love for everything fantastical remains ever so strong. As it happens, modders in the Baldur’s Gate 3 community have a tendency to add strange yet fascinating content to the game, and a recent addition is nothing short of admiration.
One of the most difficult bosses from Elden Ring has made her way into Baldur Gate 3, and it looks like she’s up for a tough battle. Yet again. Thanks to the mod, the accuracy of the character feels right at home, even though the prosthetic arm on the character may look a bit misplaced.
The commonalities between Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3 show potential for creative mods
Redditor GuttiG has showcased their skills with images of Malenia, except, the character is now in Baldur’s Gate 3 instead of Elden Ring. Known as one of the toughest bosses in any video game, Malenia, Blade of Miquella is a character, that not everyone dares to go against. However, it’s interesting to see her presence in the world of Baldur’s Gate 3, where equally complex characters tend to make their presence well-known.
So far, the community seems to be positively reacting to the same, admiring as well as having fun with Malenia’s reputation and how it would fit in with the RPG world based around Dungeons & Dragons. Comparing the combat between the two games might just break your head, let alone trying to blend the two universe’s distinct lores.
The details and accuracy of the character seem great, even though the prosthetic arm may be on the wrong side. Hey, we’re not complaining. As long as Malenia’s terror stays true to her reputation even in Baldur’s Gate 3, the community will keep admiring further characters from Elden Ring making their way to this game.
Malenia, Blade of Miquella is one the most important characters in Elden Ring
It’s unsurprising to see Malenia’s presence in other games. After all, she serves a unique and essential purpose in Elden Ring’s world, even though the boss fight is completely optional. She’s extremely tough in a 1v1 situation, and if you’re planning on defeating her all by yourself, we wish you luck. In case you didn’t know, there’s a reason why Malenia showcases excellent swordsmanship.
Earlier in her life, she crossed paths with a blind swordsman. He became her master, eventually teaching her unique ways of swordsmanship; letting her become one of the best fighters in the Lands Between. As days passed, she would turn into a ready warrior and garner the attention of those who admired her strength and skills.
Furthermore, her Demigod status added to her reputation, making Malenia one of the most exceptional characters in Elden Ring.
As amazing as all that sounds, her backstory is equally tragic. Being the afflicted child of Marika and Radagon, she suffered with Scarlet Rot; something that would cost her limbs and all sorts of pain throughout her life. Even after that, she wanted to protect her elder brother Miquella, who was afflicted with eternal childhood, never truly growing into adulthood.
There are theories about how she’s quite taken back by the Rot and loses her sanity… never truly recognizing the Tarnished (you, the player) when crossing paths with her. Nevertheless, her legacy stays an important part of Elden Ring’s lore even though the game has more than 200 bosses to go against. What do you think of her presence in the world of Baldur’s Gate 3?
