The Venom star is infamous for his notoriety on sets, but that didn’t last for too long after one major legendary actor from Hollywood praised him: the famous Leonardo DiCaprio.
Reports and clips of the event have it that during his speech after winning his first-ever Oscar, the Titanic star praised his dear friend Hardy for his ‘fierce’ talent and exceptional friendship.

Although one of the best actors there is in the entertainment industry, Tom Hardy’s notorious reputation for being ‘difficult’ precedes him. However, the Mad Max star has a completely genuine argument for that because he believes “his co-workers aren’t always fond of his blunt style,” as per an interview with Vanity Fair.
“My intention is to help, which is frustrating, and I suppose maybe that’s why some people might find me difficult.”
Despite this, Hardy does have one co-star who is truly all praise for him: Leonardo DiCaprio. After their first meeting on the sets of Inception, the pair have been best buddies ever since with an incredible level of friendship that could easily be regarded as one of the greatest Hollywood has ever seen.
While others find him ‘difficult’ to work with, the Titanic star is of a different opinion. After winning his first-ever Oscar back in 2016 for The Revenant, DiCaprio said of his beloved best friend (as per TheThings):
“Tom, your fierce talent on-screen can only be surpassed by your friendship off-screen.”

As it turns out, their friendship isn’t limited to just their film sets: It won the hearts of fans worldwide after their playful banter during an interview with Fox 5’s Kevin McCarthy painted the authenticity of their real connection on full display.
But that’s not even half of it; Tom Hardy even has a Leonardo DiCaprio-inspired tattoo on his arm! Backstory: the two The Revenant co-stars made a playful bet that if Hardy scores even an Oscar nod for his role, he will have to get a tattoo of DiCaprio’s choice.
Fast forward to the Academy Awards: Hardy bagged an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor and ended up with a ‘Leo Knows All’ tattoo on his arm. Sharing his experience with Vanity Fair, he said:
“He would never get a tattoo if he lost that bet! It was just one-way. I’m covered in s–t tattoos anyway, so it doesn’t make any difference to me. If I got a big bold ‘Leo’ right across my thigh or across my face. It’s just that, isn’t it? You bet a tattoo, you lose. That’s what happens.”
Regardless, Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio’s friendship has been going strong ever since, with the bromance pair having each other’s back at all costs.
