The MCU is at it again, as they have made their fandom go nuts with the release of the new trailer of Venom: The Last Dance. The fans are baffled by the fact that Chiwetel Ejiofor portrays different roles in the superhero franchise. But what has left them confused is how a small part of the symbiote was left behind in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The segment is now a part of the MCU, leaving fans dazed. Even though it might sound surprising to some fans, this is not the first time when the franchise has massacred its holy timeline. Back in 2022, the fans were left equally bewildered because in the post-credits scene of Morbius an old face from SSU was featured.

MCU Ruins The Sacred Marvel Timeline Again

Tom Hardy’s Venom: The Last Dance is another addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the upcoming project has released its trailer. Some fans are left baffled after watching the trailer because it has left them clueless and perplexed about the film’s timeline. The eagle-eyed fans have noticed how Chiwetel Ejiofor is a part of the film, which is surprising because the film is part of the SSU.

However, Ejiofor is part of the MCU because he was featured in the 2016 film, Doctor Strange portraying the role of Baron Mordo. A fan has tweeted on X stating that is quite possible that Kevin Feige’s superhero franchise is trying to reinterpret Spider-Man: No Way Home’s post-credit scene. But what looks so much more startling is how all of it makes no sense to them at the same time.

While they try to find a reasonable explanation for the violation of the Marvel timeline, fans comment on the post, either explaining their potential theory or complaining about how all of it is a bit too much for them to comprehend.

Nevertheless, this is not the first time, when Marvel has left their fans clueless because in the post-credits scene of Morbius, an old face was showcased from the SSU.

The Morbius Post-Credits Scene That Left The Marvel Fans Clueless

Jared Leto’s underwhelming film Morbius was released in 2022, though initially it was believed that the film was a part of the MCU but that was not the case, because it is part of the SSU. The film was an overall failure that led to executives abandoning the idea altogether.

Despite being part of the SSU, there was one aspect that tied the film to the MCU, it was none other than the post-credits scene featuring Michael Keaton as Vulture. The scene raised a lot of questions because there was no explanation of how the character became a part of the MCU.

Furthermore, when Doctor Strange cased the spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it did not bring the antagonist to a different universe because the spell was not supposed to work like that. Since there has been no proper explanation behind this action, it can be assumed that before Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is announced, Marvel is attempting to merge the two universes together.

This assumption is in reference to The Marvels’ post-credit scene that prepared for the X-Men’s arrival to this universe as well.

Venom: The Last Dance is scheduled to release in theatres on 25 October 2024.
