In the entire One Piece world, there was only one crew who was able to find out the truth about the Void Century and Ancient Kingdom. Not only that, they were also able to discover the One Piece treasure. They became known all over the world and their captain got the title of Pirate King. This crew was none other than Roger Pirates, captained by Gol D. Roger.

Although they became the most popular crew in the whole world, Roger’s execution disbanded them and almost every one of them chose to hide their identity and save themselves from the World Government. However, there is one crewmate other than Rayliegh who might be secretly helping Luffy to find the truth about the world.

This character is Morgans, the president of the World Economy News Paper. According to a theory, Morgans was a part of Roger’s crew, and after Roger’s death, he decided to help spread the news that the World Government has been trying to hide.

Theory Suggests Morgans Was a Part of Roger Pirates

According to a theory posted by u/MrBushido56 on Reddit, Morgans was a part of Roger’s crew and there are multiple pieces of evidence that support this theory. The first and foremost would be the spread of the word that Roger was able to find the One Piece treasure. There is no one else in the world except for Morgans who could have made this announcement so quickly.

Secondly, Morgans has never revealed his human form. He ate the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Albatross, which allowed him to transform into an Albatross, but he can also change into his human form. But for some reason, he decided to hide his identity. It further enhances the probability of Morgans being part of a crew that is being hunted by the World Government.

Lastly, Roger’s crew had a member called Mr. Momora, who wore an Albatross hat and looked very similar to Morgans. All these hints point out that maybe Morgans was a member of Roger’s crew and he was picked up by him after the God Valley Incident when he published a story about the battle that took place.

Morgans’ Connection to Luffy

Ever since Luffy became a known name in the One Piece world, Morgans has shown a lot of interest in the newly recognized Yonko of the Sea. He has been following Luffy’s adventures ever since he was declared a member of the Worst Generation. Not only that, he has printed Luffy’s adventures for the One Piece world to know about him.

He is so interested in Luffy’s journey that he himself declared Luffy as the fifth Emperor of the Sea. Also, he has been asked to remove the initial D from Luffy’s name but he chose to ignore the orders of the World Government for Luffy. Morgans was also the first person to announce Luffy’s Gear 5 form to the whole One Piece world by printing his Gear 5 mode in his bounty poster.

However, since the start of the Egghead Island arc, it seems like Morgans has changed his narrative for Luffy as he has been targeting Luffy in a negative way. He declared that Luffy kidnapped Dr. Vegapunk and is being hunted by the Navy and the World Government. But there is a chance that all this can be a part of his plot.
