Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer anime series has just finished with the Hashira Training arc, and the fans are gearing up for the next phase of the storyline that is going to mark the beginning of the finale. The Hashira Training arc of Demon Slayer was divided into eight episodes, and every episode was better than the previous one.
Although the arc did not feature many battle scenes and action sequences, it was still entertaining and gave a glimpse of how the story would build up from here on. Additionally, the final interaction between the Hashiras and Kibutsuji Muzan was the highlight of the entire arc. And it certainly lived up to its hype.
The episode was so good that it achieved a feat that has shaken One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen fans. The episode has been rated the 12th highest episode of all time on IMDb, with a 9.9 rating, putting it above many prominent anime series. This is indeed a big achievement for the series that will be embedded in the history of anime.
Demon Slayer Reaching New Heights
The final episode of Demon Slayer season 4, called “The Hashiras Unite,” came out on June 30, 2024, and in just a few days, the episode has become one of the most popular anime episodes of all time. The narrative of the episode revolved around Muzan finally meeting Kagaya Ubuyashiki and trying to kill him and his entire family.
However, the episode took a sudden twist when Ubuyashiki blew himself and his family up in order to catch Muzan in the blast range. But the Demon King’s regenerative ability helped him recover from the impact. Later on, he is attacked by Tamayo, Himejima, and the rest of the Hashiras, but they are all transported to the Infinity Castle.
The episode was forty minutes long, and it is now considered the best episode of the entire series. Not only that, the episode has been rated the 12th highest episode of all time on IMDb with a 9.9 rating and the 5th highest animated episode of all time, only lacking behind series like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Vinland Saga.
One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Are Nervous
Koyoharu Gotouge’s magnum opus has been quite popular among anime and manga fans since the beginning. The compelling storyline and the great animation have helped the series become one of the best narratives of all time. However, with episode 8, Demon Slayer might have proved itself to be better than Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece.
Although both One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen are two of the best anime and manga series, fans are nervous about Demon Slayer pacing ahead of them in such a short amount of time.
Thus, when the news about the Demon Slayer episode becoming the 12th highest-rated episode of all time was shared on X, fans came together to express their fear.

Attack on Titan used to have several episodes up there until insecure OP fans downvoted the shit out of them. Hope the same doesn’t happen to this one, this episode was generational it deserves an extremely high position

Although the episode was one of the most entertaining episodes of Demon Slayer, the series still has a lot to offer in the finale. It will feature the concluding battles between the Hashiras, Upper Moons, Muzan, and Tanjiro, and all these events of The Demon Slayer will be turned into three films.
