One of the best things about One Piece is that it often gives birth to new mysteries that keep the audiences on the edge of their seats.

Most of the time, the answers are hidden in plain sight, but Eiichiro Oda’s brilliant storytelling makes it difficult to see. It often leads to the creation of fan theories. One such fan theory that recently had the One Piece fandom thinking was about a particular noble who is an ally to the Straw Hat Pirates, yet none of them knew about his real identity.

Denjiro Might Be Hiding A Big Secret In One Piece

The One Piece fandom was introduced to Kyoshiro in the Wano arc. Even though they hated him at first, later, he revealed himself to be one of the Nine Red Scabbards, Denjiro. After Kozuki Oden’s death, he changed his identity to get closer to Orochi for revenge. But he might be hiding something more significant than the fans realize. In one of the podcast videos, thatonepiecetalk mentioned a theory about him being a noble.

The fan theory claims him to be a member of the Fugetsu. Currently, Denjiro is the Daimyo of Kibi. Previously, the Fugetsu clan used to rule Kibi. They were one of the five noble clans in Wano, and the Fugetsu clan was one of them. Denjiro was introduced as an orphan almost 41 years ago from the present day. After Oden’s death, Denjiro’s Kyoshiro alias was so heavy that even his fellow Scabbards failed to recognize him, and thought him to be a Orochi’s ally.

It shows that he can completely change his personality and appearance. He created the Kyoshiro family and ruled the Yakuza. The Kyoshiro family was not a real family, just like the Franky family in Water 7. Moreover, the fan theory suggests that he might have done the same 41 years ago since he never revealed his last name. His reason for leaving the Fugetsu clan was not revealed by after several years, he will rule over the region that his supposed family used to rule.

The Fugetsu Clan Has Notable Achievements

There was not much shown about the Fugetsu clan, but that did not stop them from having notable achievements. The Fugetsu clan followed the Kozuki clan and aided them during Kaido’s rampage. Apart from Shimotsuki Ushimaru, Fugetsu Omusubi was one of the prisoners with kid Yamato. He was the former Daimyo of Kibi. Another member of the Fugetsu clan, Kisaburo, was responsible for forging Admiral Fujitora’s blade, Yakuza Kasen, a Supreme Grade blade.

The fan theory also claimed that Denjiro was particularly chosen to be the Daimyo of Kibi because he has noble blood running through his veins. His being an orphan helped him get closer to Kozuki Oden. None of the Nine Red Scabbards have Royal Blood unless Denjiro is hiding something. If it is true, Luffy might have found a great ally in Denjiro. During the Final Saga, he might be a big help to him. But until Eiichiro Oda’s confirmation, nothing is absolute.

One Piece is available on Crunchyroll.
