One Piece: Eiichiro Oda’s Real Life Inspiration for the Five Elders Puts Him Above Other Mangakas in Terms of Sheer Genius

SUMMARY

  • One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda might have been inspired by an upcoming real life astronomical event and use that concept during the climax of the Egghead Island arc.
  • Jupiter and Mercury will be absent from the astronomical event, and since these planets matches two of the Gorosei, it might mean that they will meet their end on Egghead.
  • Few days later, there will be a solar eclipse, which signifies Luffy not being harmed since he is the Sun God Nika.

Currently, Monkey D. Luffy is busy fighting a tag team of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn and Admiral Kizaru, while Roronoa Zoro is fighting Rob Lucci. The rest of his crew members are trying to find an escape route on their captain’s command. Jaygarcia Saturn is going to summon the rest of the Elders, and Eiichiro Oda gave a subtle hint after getting inspired by a real-life event.

Eiichiro Oda Is Looking To Blow Everyone’s Mind

The latest One Piece chapter revealed that Monkey D. Luffy is dominating the tag team of Admiral Kizaru and Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. While the former is on the verge of getting knocked out, the latter, due to his regenerative abilities, is barely showing weakness despite getting hit by multiple punches. On top of that, Saturn is likely to summon the other Elders to aid him in his fight and finish everyone on that island, especially Dr Vegapunk.

While the fans were worried, thinking it would be a massive task for Luffy to take on all the Five Elders, Eiichiro Oda took a real-life reference and hinted at the result of the battle. In the series, on April 4, 2024, Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune will align on the Earth’s side and will be visible from Earth. Coincidently, these three names match three of the Five Elders – Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, Saint Marcus Mars, and Saint Jaygarcia Saturn.

Four days later, on April 8, 2024, there will be a solar eclipse. The solar eclipse signifies Monkey D. Luffy since he is Sun God Nika. Earth is considered to be Imu-sama. It shows that Luffy will be safe from Imu since the solar eclipse signifies the Moon coming in between the Sun and the Earth. According to this logic, two of the Gorosei, Topman Warcury, and Shepherd Ju Peter might die on Egghead Island, considering their name were missing from the astronomical event.

Egghead Island Arc Is At Its Climax

The Gorosei are Imu-sama’s personal guards and have monstrous abilities. If two of them meet their end at Egghead Island, it will be the most interesting turn of events and greatly weaken the World Government, especially the Gorosei. Moreover, Imu-sama will have fewer people under his command. The Gorosei might be linked through some power, and two of them dying would greatly harm that link.

The solar eclipse signifies Luffy’s safety, but it also means that the Moon will come between the Sun and the Earth. In One Piece, the Moon is often related to Blackbeard, so there is a chance that he might make an appearance on the Egghead Island. Eiichiro Oda has found another breakthrough in his magnum opus, and it places him above the other mangaka.

His focus, dedication, and sheer will to bring out the best makes him a genius mangaka. Even though it is just a theory, considering his past, he is the only one capable of pulling something so epic. The next few chapters will decide whether the fan theory is true.
