The Dark Knight actor is going to play the role of Mr. 3, also known as Galdino. Mr. 3 is a major villain in the Little Garden arc, which is going to be a part of the Alabasta saga. While this is exciting news for One Piece fans, the community is eagerly waiting for another actress to finally assume the role of Dr. Kureha in One Piece, as has been hinted at multiple times.
The actress is none other than Jamie Lee Curtis, known for hits like Everything Everywhere All At Once. Curtis is a big One Piece fan, and not only the actress but even the showrunners of One Piece live-action hinted at her joining the cast of the series. But now it looks highly unlikely as Curtis might get busy somewhere else.
Jamie Lee Curtis’ Love for One Piece
Even before the release of One Piece live-action season 1, the popular actress had expressed her love for Eiichiro Oda’s series. She has always been a big fan of One Piece and has never shied away from talking about it.
Thus, when the One Piece live-action series came out, Curtis shared a post expressing her desire to work on the series as Dr. Kureha.

The actress is the perfect individual to play the role of the rebellious Dr. Kureha, and this was even noticed by One Piece showrunner Matt Owens. He even sent a Dr. Kureha action figure to the actress, strengthening the rumors about Curtis joining the One Piece live-action cast along with other actors who would play different roles.

Not only Curtis and Owens, but even Emily Rudd, the actress who plays Nami in the Netflix series, has expressed her desire to work with the legendary Halloween Kills actress. She even shared an Instagram story stating that it would be an honor to work with Curtis on one of the biggest live-action adaptations in history.
Jamie Lee Curtis Might Not Join One Piece Live-Action Season 2
While fans are excited to see Jamie Lee Curtis play the role of Dr. Kureha in One Piece live-action season 2, the chances of the actress joining the cast are becoming more and more blurry. This is because Curtis has her hands filled with another project that is also widely popular among her fans.

The actress recently announced through a post that she has started filming the second installment of Freaky Friday. The first comedy movie tells the story of a mother and daughter who magically swap their bodies and take a look at a different lifestyle. The movie was quite a hit, and the sequel is scheduled to release in 2025.
With the shooting of the One Piece live-action series’ starting and Curtis currently being occupied with Freaky Friday 2, there is very little chance that the actress might be able to manage both projects at the same time. However, nothing has been confirmed by the actress or the creators of the series.
