According to a theory posted on Reddit, Shanks might be the current user of the Time-Time Devil Fruit, and he has kept it a secret from the entire world. The theory was posted by u/SignificantMidnight7, and it states that Shanks used this Devil Fruit to help him enhance his Future Sight Haki ability.
Future Sight is the advanced version of Observation Haki, and it allows the user to predict an attack by looking into the future for a very short time. It is the rarest form of observation Haki and to date, only four characters have been able to use it. Among those, the strongest user of Future Sight is Shanks.
As the full potential of the Time-Time Devil Fruit has not been revealed, there is a chance that Shanks might be able to use it to just look into the future, making his Future Sight better than everyone else. However, there is no evidence to support this theory, and more details about Shanks’ true power will only be revealed when he finally takes the central stage in One Piece.
