While Luffy is currently occupied with Kizaru and Saturn, one of the most intriguing battles in One Piece is taking place elsewhere between Rob Lucci and his swordsman first mate, the second-strongest member of his crew. Fans are well aware that these two are among Egghead’s strongest warriors, and their battle will undoubtedly light up this arc’s conclusion.

Zoro and Lucci will likely continue to spar throughout the upcoming chapters, and the tension will only build. Fans of Zoro, meanwhile, might not be pleased with how the fight turned out because, although it isn’t shown clearly, Zoro appears to be having trouble with the CPO agent. Due to this, people are unsure if Zoro could have defeated Kaido in a genuine fight.

Zoro Engages in Battle Against Lucci in Egghead Arc

From the moment Kizaru reached the Labophase, Lucci realized it was the right moment for him to make a move as well. Using a potent Finger Pistol, he attempted to kill Dr. Vegapunk, who was his objective. Luckily, Stussy intervened and stopped this attempt on his life. Zoro then decided to engage him in combat.

Before long, the two were fighting outside the lab in the Labophase. They have been fighting ever since, and fans can’t wait for the fight to go on. Zoro was the strongest character present at the moment, so it made sense for him to assume most of the burden since Luffy wasn’t around.

Zoro seems to have a considerable offensive output advantage over the other when comparing the two. But because his endurance is not as great as Lucci’s, it looks like he is struggling against the CPO agent. While many fans may have not noticed it, Zoro lovers know that if Zoro had been stronger than Lucci, he wouldn’t have taken so much time in defeating his opponent, as he does not like to waste time during his battles.

Zoro Struggles Against Rob Lucci

The fact that Luffy annihilated Lucci at the beginning of the Egghead arc demonstrated that Lucci was far weaker than Luffy and that Zoro was a better opponent for him. On the other hand, people thought Zoro would be stronger than Rob Lucci based on his success in Wano and his strength.

This was because he not only vanquished the second in command of the beast pirates but also engaged in combat with the strongest creature in the One Piece universe. As a result, Lucci and Zoro are likely to be evenly matched in combat, and while Lucci lacks Conqueror’s Haki, he has other powers that can compensate for it.

Zoro will probably prevail against Lucci in the end, but it won’t be at all simple for him to win this fight. He might struggle a lot, but this will ultimately prove his strength and how much he has grown since Wano.
