The 2022 Disney+ series introduced Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk in the MCU. Following Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin, the show follows her journey to balancing her life as a professional attorney while being a new superhero. While the series might not be one of the favorites for Marvel fans, it plays a crucial role in introducing several characters into the superhero universe.
And one of these characters might have a hidden link to the WandaVision villain Agatha. Following the release of the 2022 TV series, fans noticed some of the things about Jen Walters’ best friend, Nikki Ramos, that could potentially link her to Wanda’s nosy neighbor.
The Potential Link Between She-Hulk And Agatha
Portrayed by Ginger Gonzaga, Nikki Ramos is introduced as Jennifer Walters’ best friend and paralegal working at GLK&H. While most of the characters in She-Hulk come from the pages of comic books, Nikki does not have an origin in the comic books, and nothing much is revealed about her either.
However, there have been some speculations about the character based on one of the scenes from the sixth episode of the show. In the scene where Nikki and Book check out intelligencia’s message board, Nikki is seen looking directly at the camera in a quick glimpse.
While She-Hulk, played by Tatiana Maslany, is known to be a fourth-wall-breaking character, the same doesn’t apply to other characters on the show. And it has led fans to link Nikki’s character to the WandaVision villain Agatha, who is getting her own series in Phase 5 of the MCU.
Fans also noticed the resemblance in Nikki and Agatha’s jewelry, which appears to have similar symbols, along with a star, which is often associated with witchcraft. Theories also stated that she could be the real villain of the show. While she did not turn out to be the villain, Nikki could potentially have an intriguing role in Kathryn Hahn’s upcoming series, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Who is Nikki Ramos in She-Hulk?
Unlike the rest of the characters in the series, there is no character named Nikki Ramos in the comics. While Jennifer Walters has a childhood friend in comics, Jill Stevens and Ginger Gonzaga’s role could be a replacement for her. However, the makers of the show or studio have not revealed such details about the character.
Another similar character is Angie Huang, who was introduced in 2014. However, it seems unlikely as she is known to have an enigmatic personality and is always accompanied by her monkey, Hei-hei. Theories also suggested that she could have been a Skrull named Jazinda, who is also a close friend of She-Hulk in comics.
However, with several elements linking her to Agatha, fans have been assuming her to be a member of Agatha’s coven. But many also denied the possibility, stating that the powerful witch might not have had any reason to get close to Jennifer Walters and calling it an accident that made it into the final cut.
She-Hulk and WandaVision are available on Disney+.
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is expected to be released in September 2024.
