With the release of the latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans saw Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori battling their hearts out against the King of Curses Sukuna. All three of them are the main characters of the series, and the one character that would have made their fight probably the best fight in anime history ever was Gojo Satoru.
The name of Gojo Satoru was recently brought back in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 250 when Sukuna talked about how his fight with Gojo still had its effects on the King of Curses. This reflected the importance of Gojo in the series and fans still hope that in some way or other, he could be re-introduced in the story.
While many theories and notions have been devised since his death, none of them have been used by Gege Akutami in the story. However, there was one technique that could’ve easily brought back the beloved character from the dead but Akutami killed the only character who knew that technique. And the character was none other than Granny Ogami who could use the Seance Technique that brought Toji Fushiguro back from the afterlife.
The Technique That Could Have Brought Gojo Satoru Back
The only technique that has been able to bring back dead people in Jujutsu Kaisen was the seance technique. The Seance Technique is Granny Ogami’s innate cursed technique. It enables her to change herself or another willing participant into a deceased individual. The information contained in the body or soul of the deceased can be summoned by the user of this seance technique.
In the Shibuya arc, During her struggle with Takuma Ino, Ogami’s grandson protected her as she spoke a lengthy incantation and when she was done, Ogami’s cursed energy grew, causing her to change her grandson into Toji. As a result, Ino was quickly overcome by Toji’s superior physical prowess.
The shape-shifter can make use of their physical powers by transforming into someone by using the information from their body. Even if the original caster perishes, the technique is meant to indicate its dissolution when the shape-shifter’s cursed energy runs out. The seance technique could have brought Gojo Satoru back to life, however, Akutami had other plans in mind. When Ogami revived Toji, he overpowered the technique and gained control, which led to him killing the only user of the seance technique.
Other Ways Gojo Satoru Can Return in Jujutsu Kaisen
While the Seance technique was the only possible way to bring dead people to life, Gojo being a special character has more than one option. One of the other ways that could help him would be the Reversed cursed technique. As seen in the series, Gojo can use the reverse cursed technique to its maximum efficiency.
He has used it before to save himself from almost dying or experiencing rebirth multiple times in the series. Therefore there is a very good chance he might still come back to the series that used the Reverse cursed technique. Also, if Gojo cannot use the technique, other characters can use this technique. For example: Shoko Ieiri.
It can’t be said for sure whether Akutami will bring Gojo back to the Jujutsu Kaisen story or not, but one certain thing is that fans have been hoping for him to come back since the beginning, and if he somehow manages to return to life, it would surely be one of the biggest moments in anime history.
