The result? McConaughey in a cameo that’s as wild as a Texas rancher rocking a red cape. It’s not just a win for Deadpool fans; it’s a masterclass in Reynolds’ persuasion skills.

Deadpool & Wolverine ain’t just a movie; it’s a multiverse marvel. This film crushed the box office with a jaw-dropping $200M opening weekend—$211M (domestic total) and $444.3M (worldwide total), becoming the sixth-biggest opening weekend in box office history. With a parade of cameos, Easter eggs, and more Deadpool variants than you can count, this Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-starring movie’s a fan’s ultimate dream come true!

But the real showstopper? Matthew McConaughey as Cowboypool. Yeah, you heard that right—McConaughey, the elusive star who’s dodged Marvel roles like Ego the Living Planet and Doctor Strange, finally makes his mark. After some serious Reynolds persuasion to get him on board, McConaughey gave in and joined the MCU (via Slash Film). Guess only Ryan Reynolds could have convinced our Cowboypool for a Deadpool & Wolverine cameo!

Cowboypool, though not in the spotlight for long, is a blast. Decked out in pearl-handled six-shooters, a ten-gallon hat, and a fit made of cured leather, he’s a Western anti-hero unlike anything Wade Wilson rocks (you know, the usual spandex, Katanas, or dual Desert Eagles). This nod to the Deadpool Corps comics is a major win, even if it’s just a brief cameo.

Now, the bigger question: Will Matthew McConaughey be back in the Marvel universe playing a full-blown character and not just a small cameo? While nothing’s for sure yet, McConaughey and the MCU in this latest flick do look like a cinematic match made in heaven!

Ryan Reynolds just dropped a bombshell, folks! The Merc with a Mouth is officially saying Sayonara to the wild ride that was 20th Century Fox’s Marvel Universe. The guy who made wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking anti-heroes cool is bidding adieu to the studio that birthed him.

Reynolds took to Instagram to share a nostalgic group pic with the who’s who of Fox’s Marvel world—from Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique. Even Channing Tatum made the cut, even though his Gambit flick never saw the light of day.

Talk about a farewell gift! Per Variety, Reynolds himself was blown away, calling it “kind of hard to process.” So, while this chapter is closing, it’s clear that Deadpool and his crew are ending on a high note.
