While Cruise continues to maintain his distance from his daughter, the First Daughter actress, on the other hand, proudly stands by her when it comes to Suri’s decision of keeping her father away from her life.
Suri Cruise Isn’t A Fan Of Tom Cruise
Despite his achievements, Cruise couldn’t land three things in life – an Oscar, a stable relationship, and above all, the presence of her daughter, Suri Cruise. While Tom Cruise boasts a dedicated global fanbase, the Top Gun: Maverick star remains deprived of his daughter’s attention, something he wouldn’t even contest.
On the other hand, Katie Holmes has remained Suri’s guardian angel since her messy divorce from the actor in 2012. Moreover, Suri Cruise remains a non-believer of Scientology, something that Cruise never agreed to. An insider reported:
“Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade. She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.”
The 17-year-old star kid, who is already making a name for herself, has survived the media-frenzy life, all thanks to her over-protective mother, Kati Holmes. The model, who left Scientology after her divorce from Cruise, didn’t want her daughter to follow her father’s beliefs and strongly supports her daughter’s decision of keeping her father at the edge of the cliff.
Scientology Convinced Tom Cruise To Abandon Suri Cruise
During his deposition in a previous defamation case, Cruise admitted that his “relationship with the Church of Scientology had played a large role in why he was distanced from his child’s life.” Cruise also admitted that Holmes ended their relationship to safeguard their daughter from Scientology.
Per recent reports, Katie Holmes sent her daughter to a $65K posh school, in a move to give her a “normal childhood.” But, turns out that the overprotective mother is now stopping her daughter from taking the flight as Suri reportedly applied to a lot of universities, but Holmes feels otherwise.
An insider revealed:
“Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective.”
Despite her father’s absence from her life, the 17-year-old has already accumulated a fortune of over $500K from her career as a social media influencer. While all of the above remains true, fans still hope for a possible reunion of the father-daughter duo, both on-screen and off-screen.
