It’s been quite a good year for Xbox Games Pass so far, with plenty of day-one debuts and third-party support, but it seems like things are about to get even better. The recent Xbox Showcase has proven that Microsoft is still betting on Game Pass’s success, confirming a total of 18 new games that are all set to hit the service on day one.

When Xbox Showcase began, many gamers fully expected to see a brand-new Overwatch 2 trailer featuring the highly anticipated Season 11. However, the reveal never came. This led to a community outrage, with players concerned about the shooter’s future. Even though Overwatch 2 developers reassured gamers that we’ll soon see an update, players need more convincing.

Overwatch 2 Community is Concerned About Blizzard’s Future Plans After Xbox Showcase

In the last few years, we’ve seen Blizzard releasing trailers to show off new Overwatch 2 content. Last year, we got the reveal of Story Missions as an additional incentive, and fans also got to look at Flashpoint. But this year, a distinct lack of Overwatch 2 information at Xbox Games Showcase has left many gamers baffled, considering the event was meant to showcase the best of what’s coming for Blizzard.

Many fans expressed their concerns and took to Twitter to express their opinion on the entire situation. Surprisingly, Overwatch‘s Executive Producer, Jared Neuss, stepped in to put the community’s minds at ease.

Even Overwatch’s principal artist, Mike Haridson spoke up and confirmed that Blizzard has been “cooking”. However, despite the official confirmations, the Overwatch 2 community isn’t convinced that Blizzard will deliver on its promises. Players are frustrated with Blizzard’s idea of content, which brings more useless and overpriced cosmetics to the game.

It’s clear that players are tired of Blizzard’s false promises, as they have a history of constantly disappointing players. Ever since Overwatch 2‘s release, the community’s reaction has been negative, with players questioning Blizzard’s decision to even release a sequel. If Blizzard wants to pull the game out of the pits of hell, they need to bring some drastic changes in the upcoming Season 11.

What’s Coming in Overwatch 2 Season 11?

Overwatch’s next season is all set to debut in late June, and the update is all set to introduce the new Push map dubbed “Runasapi.” That’s not all; we’ll also see the reworks for the map of Colosseo. Usually, new seasons in Overwatch 2 drop on Tuesday, which would mean that Season 11 will begin on June 18 2024.

It’s yet to be confirmed if we’re finally going to see the release of Clash in Season 11 as a trial period of the new mode released alongside Overwatch 2‘s Season 10. Blizzard has been constantly saying that Clash will finally be sometime later in the year.
