SUMMARY

  • Fans who have mained Hanzo or Genji will notice neither of the heroes can wall climb after a double jump, and any attempt will see the heroes fall flat.
  • Since the wall climb nerf wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, fans hope it's just a bug and it gets fixed with a future patch update soon.

Overwatch 2 Season 10 has finally arrived, bringing tons of new content, including a brand-new hero, Venture. Venture is available to play in Competitive Play. The base abilities of two specific characters in Overwatch 2 have been nerfed including their ability to wall climb which has disappointed several fans. Fans hope the wall climb disability is a bug rather than an official Nerf and that an update hopefully solves the issue through an update soon.

Season 10 patch notes have dropped and players were introduced to the latest set of nerfs which has affected Genji and Hanzo’s base abilities, including their wall climb ability which fans have found to be annoying and disappointing.

This was initially noticed by Overwatch 2 streamer Necros who posted a short clip of Hanzo falling over and over when he attempted to wall climb.

Both the characters still can do a single wall climb but it’s the double jump that’s leading the heroes to fall flat on their faces every time players attempt to do that.

One other Overwatch 2 player indicated an alternate way of wall climbing after a double jump by trying to “mantle up to a ledge after a double jump” which was nothing new but could still help other players wall climb after a double jump until the nerf is reversed.

Jumping, dashing, and wall climbing are all considered vital abilities in the game for not just these two heroes but the rest of them too. For this reason, the nerf has understandably disappointed several fans and even more so fans who main them in the game.

The only ray of hope is the absence of the wall climb nerf mentioned in the patch notes, which has led players to hope that it wasn’t intentional and it gets fixed somehow through a future patch update.

Overwatch 2 Season 10 Has Also Gotten Rid of Grouping Restrictions

Overwatch 2 Season 10 has brought along a lot of other changes as well.
Overwatch 2 Season 10 has brought along a lot of other changes as well.

The other changes brought along with the Season 10 update include the elimination of grouping restrictions in the game. This means Bronze and Champion players can both be pooled together to play in Ranked matches. This will extend the waiting time as players wait to be grouped with those having equivalent skills.

Overwatch Coins have also moved out of Challenges and are now included in Battle Pass, giving players the option to earn up to 600 coins on the Free Battle Pass track. Through the Premium Battle Pass, players now have a chance to earn Mythic Prisms using which players can unlock and upgrade Mythic skins.

Completing a season’s Premium Battle Pass, players can gain 80 Mythic Prisms, which should be enough to unlock one Mythic Skin along with its variants. Vengeance Mercy is this season’s Mythic Skin and comes with a bunch of variations.

While there’s a lot to look forward to in the new season, Nerfs are never always welcome by players who will now be hoping for the wall climb bug to be sorted and not made permanent.
