Palworld‘s incredible success and post-launch content updates have allowed the game to become one of the biggest success stories of the year. Despite Pocketpair’s dedication to the community, they won’t give in to one of the oddest community demands!

A few days ago, Pocketpair announced its new partnership with Sony Music Entertainment and Aniplex to develop Palworld Entertainment to accelerate the game’s global development and pull in a brand-new audience.

Since the partnership’s announcement, fans have been excited to see what Pocketpair and Sony are planning for Palworld-branded merchandise, toys, and cultural presence. While many are expecting typical items such as hoodies, shirts, and caps, few have been hoping for odd items such as body pillows.

However, Palworld‘s community manger has made it clear that they’re not going to bring any such merchandise!

While it’s sad to see that Pocketpair isn’t fulfilling the community’s requests, even though they’re quite odd, it’s time to look at the bigger picture and imagine what such a partnership could mean for the so-called “Pokemon with Guns.”

Previously, we’ve seen Pocketpair and Sony hint at a PlayStation release for Palworld. Although it’s not clear if this deal will result in any kind of PlayStation exclusivity in the future, it’s guaranteed that Palworld will soon be available for the PlayStation platform.

The partnership between Pocketpair, Sony, and Aniplex opens up new avenues for the game’s future development. However, many fans are still skeptical of the agreement due to Sony’s bad track record with indie studios.

Palworld Entertainment Has All the Necessary Ingredients for an Anime Now

With the establishment of Palworld Entertainment, it’s clear that Sony wants to establish its own monster-catching series, and Aniplex’s presence definitely means that we’re bound to get an animated adaptation soon.

While one can see the Palworld anime adaptation as just Sony’s attempt to buy its off-brand Pokemon series, the game has already diverged from Nintendo’s IP in many ways. These strengths can help it stand out in an anime series if Aniplex doesn’t end up fumbling the entire project.

Pocketpair offers an entirely different fantasy as compared to other monster-catching games, which could lead to a unique plotline. While we’ve seen Pokemon and other famous franchises with elaborate and civilized settings, Palworld brings an element of rawness to it.

More than just crafting and survival, the game fills the map with actual human poachers and bandits and tries to showcase the danger of encountering untamed wild animals armed with weapons. Fans can have an anime where the protagonist goes into a battle with pets, which we’ve never seen before.
